2008 Yamaha Majesty Review

Once you get over your preconceived notions of size, the majesty behaves like a much smaller machine.Undoubtedly one of the largest scooters on the market, the Majesty is surprisingly fun and easy to ride.

I’d rather get a sport touring motorcycle.

cheese was because of his name…. dickflicker. Thanks for intruding. I am aware of the other options. My discussion was obviously about the above video… not that Ferrari came out with a new car last month or that Yamaha makes killer sport bikes like the R6 and R1 which both obviously go 0-60 much faster than 11secs. So I just wanted to take the time to thank you for your incredibly useful incites and overly flamboyant optimism!

For all you hating on scooters, I ride my majesty everyday in both street and freeway conditions an it kicks fucking ass. Its an easy quick trip to 95 mph and bobs and weaves with the best of them. It rides like a cruiser when I want it to and its sporty enough to stay in the game at speed, its the best of both worlds. Plus the chicks love wrapping their legs around 400 lbs of vibrating metal and plastic!

There are both faster and slower bikes available than a Majesty but it can easily hit 95 mph. The cheese option is up to you!

Enjoy cruising in that underpowered obese child’s toy. Maybe you can eat some cheese while your going 15mph on that couch.

The Majesty is a great bike from a utility commuter to a great platform for touring. I have a friend that just completed a 10,000 mile trip across 24 states and parts of Canada this summer. The bike is quick, flickable and solidly planted at highway speeds.

T-Max hadn’t been announced for the US market when this review came out. It is a sweet machine though.

  21. mangablade on November 21st, 2008 6:20 pm

Where i live atleast, because of our road rules, 49/50cc scooters make sense before you get a full license, are extremely fuel efficient, super cheap to buy in the first place, and they are pretty dam good at going from A to B. i have a 49CC Hyosung Sense and its some great stuff. I am going to move up to a 250CC cruiser early next year, but as a pre-bike, scooters are great.

  22. chunkymunkey153 on November 21st, 2008 6:20 pm
