In 1969 Honda launched the CB750, acknowledged as a landmark motorcycle which combined, for the first time, outstanding performance, reliability and engineering sophistication.The CB750 was the first inline four cylinder motorcycle and the first with disc brakes. The CB750 was in production for nine years during which more than 400,000 machines were sold. In 1992 the CBR900RR was produced with 893cc displacement and an inline 4 engine. A lightweight super bike at 453 pounds it was 76 pounds lighter then the Yamaha FZR1000. Modifications were made in 1994 to the shift drum to improve shifting. In 1995 the suspension was improved and the front fork was fitted with a compression adjuster. Modifications were also made to the bodywork with a new design of headlight and less fairing holes.
